North Korea Response

In my opinion, the world is never really obligated to help anyone else other than themselves. Although it may not be completely moral, a nation needs to help itself before deciding to take on others' problems. In the case of North Korea, I believe that this is especially true. Kim Jung-Il has made it very clear that he wants nothings to do with anyone else, and that's his choice to do as a leader of his country. To continue, while what the rest of the world has been told about North Korea may seem sad, we can never quite be certain about what is true and what isn't. Right now, North Korea is not anyone's problem, and thus, I believe it should deal with itself.

I agree, I think we as a nation have a lot of our own problems that we need to solve before we delve into North Korea's, or any other countrie's problems for that matter. It will deal with itself eventually, but like I said in my blog post, nothing will most likely change until Kim Jong Il is dead.

Will Kim Jong-Il's death solve everything, or does something else need to happen in order for North Korea to change?

I feel as though Kim Jong-Il's death will not solve all of NK's problems. It has been generations of this totalitationship, and due to this, many people don't know anything else. They'll most likely be scared to have a period of nothing, and I'm sure that once Jong-Il dies his son will rise to power. The people of North Korea will cling to what they know, and it will take many, many years before any change will occur. I'm not quite sure what else will need to happen for any change to happen.
