Deviance
I personally don't think deviance is always bad. In my mind, it is okay for someone to stand up for their beliefs. Many people don't agree with the ones standing up. That in itself can create alot of harm which leads deviance towards being a bad thing with harm. For the most part, deviance can e controlled. The one speaking out should think about the consequences before disagreeing with many.

I agree with the fact that deviance is not always bad. If someone is speaking their mind and defying the norms, it does not necessarily make it a bad thing. Sometimes someone needs to stand out and speak up. It is the only way that things can change. If no one was ever a deviant, then there would never be change. Society needs change in order to function properly. Deviance helps make minor changes and usually does not cause a may rebellion.
Creating a change in society is not an easy thing. Those acting deviant will probably not create any change unless there is a mass of deviant souls forming together for a greater cause. But just because there are lots of people coming together in a deviant way and standing up for what they believe in doesn't mean its a good thing, ie the KKK. But I agree that deviance can be a good thing, but most of the time its not.
