I think gender norms play a big part in society, especially from the media. The media shows that guys should be tough and muscular. It shows that girls should be the housewives. I think our views on the way each gender should be would be totally different without the media.

The media definitely causes gender roles to become even more stereotypical. On T.V. the men are huge and muscular; and the women are small and petite. The media is how people learn about whats going on around the world so when gender roles are shown through the media people really believe them.
