Harlow's Experiments

Harlow's experiments helped us understand, how animals will reacted with certain situations and then compare them to, what a human will do in the same situation. But I don't think those experiments should be repeated, they are to cruel for the monkeys/animals. I believe that there must be other ways to test those monkeys, and have the same result. In the video we see that Harlow really enjoy doing those experiments. I think that not right thing to do expecially when you are a scientist.

I definitely agree with you. poor monkeys, they have no say in what the scietist do to them. The scientist should've never tested them in the 1st place. its horrible what they did. :(

His experiments helped us understand somethings about the monkeys but I think your right in that their has to be other ways to test the monkeys without ruining them. His experiments were very very unethical and I think he went about them in the wrong way. Harlow was not concerned with the well being of the monkeys, he only seemed to care about the data collected from them. He was not worried about the bad effects his experiments put on the monkeys. His experiments did teach us a lot though and their are both opinions on wheather his experiments were ethical or not.
