Chinese teachers

I don't believe people should be discriminated against especially when chinas most basic moral or rule is to treat people fairly. But i can also see the issue when it comes to hiring someone that is HIV positive to work with children. Although the disease is not easily transferable there is still a risk there. I don't believe people with life threatining diseases that can be caught should be hired to work with children.

I agree with you. Although it was discriminating, maybe the officials in China were just trying to think of safety. Why take the risk of potentially infecting innocent kids if you don't have to, right?

HIV is only spread through particular bodily fluids. A child would never come in contact with an HIV positive Teacher's fluids. Just because you have HIV doesnt mean you cant live a good life. There is such a minimal risk for these children that these qualified teachers should not be discriminated against.
