8th Amendment

In my mind, there are so many things that could apply to these rules in our legal system. I tend to believe that these punishments do good. Yet, in the movie in class, Todd was put to death. I don't believe in the death penalty because I know we have to learn from our mistakes no matter what. Killing isnt doing the job. This is one amendment I am not fully for or against it yet.

i think im more for the death penalty if we know for a fact that the person did something terrible. they shouldnt of given anything to todd because there really was no conclusive proof. We should have but use it responsibly and not misuse this rule

Jack I agree with you partially, but I do believe in the death penalty. Sometimes people really do deserve it, but sometimes people are wrongly accused of being on death row. In the movie Todd was innocent. So maybe every person should be checked 100 percent to make sure they are supposed to be on death row and not be put to death as an innocent man.
