Freedom of Speech?

i do believe we have the freedom to say whatever we want, however we cannot always express it the way we want it. there are limitations on speech. i mean look at the censorship on television, they bleep out swear words. we are not allowed to swear in school. yet we have this so called "freedom of speech." i dont think there should be limitations on what we can/ is acceptable to say. sometimes you have to say things a certain way to get a point across and if you cant use certain terms and whatnot, your point or argument might not be as strong.

I agree and disagree. I agree in the sense that censorship is a little out of control, along with copyright (but that's a different story.) I think sometimes, if used elegantly, "swear words" can push a sentence that much further, and give it that emotional 'umph' it sometimes will need. But I disagree when you say sarcastically that we don't have a right to freedom of speech. I explain it in more detail on my blog post, but long story short, the definition of freedom of speech is blurred to most people who argue against it.

I agree with you about censorship. And I agree about how we have limitations about what we can and can't say. But we're just kids. Once we leave school we'll be able to say whatever we like to who ever we like.
