This week in class, you will learn about several different economic systems that exist in our world. Many people today are calling for reforms to America's current free market, or capitalist, system. Others, however, suggest that the very thought of moving away from capitalism is anti-American.
Where do YOU stand? Would a different economic system be better, or do you think our system is still functioning successfully? EXPLAIN!

I don't believe that as americans we should move away from our current economic system. We all have the opportuinity to become wealthy in essence but not all of us do. I don't think that means the people who became wealthy should suffer for it or get their moeny taken away. We should all just work our hardest and let americans become wealthy on their own.
It would be unAmerican for us to move away from our current economic system. From the way our country is moving, if we were to change economic systems, there is a danger of us spinning into communism.
I would think if America were to change its economic system that it might be benificial to the economy in many ways. This being said it could hurt the nation just as much. for starters this sort of change would compleatle change the ideas stated in the constitution. Even though this would probably never happen, if it did it would cause mass protest unless we absolutly needed it.This is why we need to work on editing our system to make it fit modern america. The problem today is our nation is full of temporary fixes and what we need are fixes that will last our country for a long period of time.
I don't think that america should change the economic system we use because the reason we have a free market is because that is how america was meant to be run. I do think that we should reform our version of the free market system because there are clearly many things wrong with it currently.
I think that the free market economy works best in our country. We have maintained a successful free market economy and have continued to grow as well. It is important that our country learns from small mistakes that have already happened, and then we can continue to grow stronger. I don't think America should change it's system because it has been working so well, and it would be very risky to try out any other way. This is what we're all used to, and any slight change could cause more problems in the long run.
