I think that Walmart is both bad and good for the economy. They are able to provide low price options for people that may not have a boatload of cash, but they also destroy small businesses. Walmart can go into a town and singlehandedly run all the other stores out of business. However, in the process they are providing goods for the consumer to purchase at really low prices.
They may do some unethical things, like support sweatshops in Asia, but they are really not breaking any laws here in the U.S. I think they built themselves up fairly and help people buy cheap goods, but they also run small businesses out of town at the same time, and destroy more jobs than they create.

I agree with the fact that wallmart is providing a service to americans when it comes to their low prices. As a consumer i know what its like to look for the best deal and wallmart can make that sort of thing easy. On the other hand they have some bad qualities that get them these low prices such as the sweat shops. Although this is fairly common in big buisnesses today I beleive that Wallmart could tweak some of their methods to fit the needs of their workers and build a better reputation for americans while benifiting the economy as a whole

No body should have to get paid three dollars a day, if that, for hard work. They simply should move some of their factories top America and have Americans
build the proDucts instead.
