Political Parties

I don't think any of the political parties we looked at on the webquest would ever get elected to office. I think they all have too strong of views that would get them no where in an election. Another thing that wouldn't help them in a election is that there are so many third parties out there. There are so many that people don't even know that they exist. How are you supposed to make it in an election if no one knows your party even exists?

Interesting ideas, Amy. What do you think the minor parties should do to gain more attention?

I agree. Plus, going off of what we talked about in class, Americans have simply grown used to the parties we already have. Adding another one would create confusion and minor chaos. On the other hand, another political party would give voters an opportunity to support a new group of ideals and beliefs. Granted, some of them may be an are a little extreme, who's to say the parties we already have are not much different?
