Third Parties: Not really an option

Before doing our web quest, I thought that a third party might be a viable option. After all, neither the Republican nor the Democrats seem to be doing much good these days. However, after researching some of the most popular third parties and their beliefs, I now understand why they don't really have any representation. First, they are all crazy, and second, they are very focused on a set group of issues, ignoring other very important ones. The only party that I could agree with is the Green Party (who's going to argue against the environment?) but even they will never have my vote due to the fact that they don't seem to have a plan for handling anything other than the green stuff sprouting out of the Earth. How do they think that we should handle international politics? They don't have a clue. What is the best course of action to help to stimulate the economy? Unless it's opening up a flower shops, they really have no ideas.

So to answer the question, what party do I believe has the best chance at gaining representation? None of the third parties. They are just too extreme and have some serious holes in their policies. So of the Republican and Democratic parties, the Democrats have the best chance. People are sick of politics, and though I don't believe that the Democratic party will actually give us this, they do run for office on the idea of change. Until we get some serious third parties, the Democrats are as good and we're going to get.
