1% opinion
I do not think the 1% are obligated to help anyone. I don't think anyone is obligated to help anyone. I think it's human nature to take care of the people we love or people who are in need, but I don't think anyone is required to take care of anyone else financially. People earn the money they make themselves, it might be unfair that they get so much money while other's do not, but they earned it and deserve to do as they please with it.

You are correct in every way. While it would be nice for them to help out those in need, it is not their job. People on wall street should not be blamed at all. If people want money go ask Bill Gates or Oprah or movie stars. They have more money than businessmen.
I agree with both of you. People earn it and they can choose what to do with it. Just because people don't have as much money as them doesn't mean they have to give it to the poor. Noone should feel forced to give it away. Many are generous others arnt. Most, though, give it to who they love and care for the most.
