The 5%

So I was watching this show(don't remember the name but my parents had put it on) and the show said it was actually 5% above the rest and not 1%. And of that 5% only 9% of those people are on wallstreet. The rest are movie stars, athletes, etc. Either way those people on wallstreet are not inclined to help out the rest of us. They worked hard and made something of themselves while the others are too busy drinking fire whiskey and then wonder why they don't have any money.

I agree completely with Nick, I don't think anyone is obligated to help anyone else. People do with their money as they please, and that's that.

So since only 9% are part of wall street, this leaves another 91%. Do you think these people, actors, athletes, etc, should be obligated to donate their money? Maybe since they are lucky enough to have the talent to get them famous one could argue and say that they should give back. I'm not saying I believe they need to give back, but just wondering if there's any difference really between wall street and celebrities. Or all we all on the same page in terms of how much we should give back? If more people were willing to give back do you think this would actually affect anything in our economy?

I don't completely disagree with this, but to some degree i feel as if it's not everyone's fault where they stand financially. some people get laid off, others get injured and still try their best to provide for their families & i feel as though you've forgotten them. But yes, most people that we hear about would rather spend their time being drunkies and whatnot. but i don't think you should categorize everyone as that. & well celebrities are just weird..
