I think the most significant event in 2011 was the death of Kim Jung il. There are many questions going on now about the new leader. He is very young and inexperienced. North Korea is a very isolated country but is very dangerous. They have nuclear weapons and can use them at anytime the new leader of North Korea wants to. That is very scary because we know little about him and how he feels about America. Hopefully this new leader will be more open and help out their country with its many problems.

Even if he hates America, it can't be too bad, because Kim Jung Un is a Chicago Bulls fan, and has an extensive collection. Maybe he'll be willing to loosen the isolation a little bit. No one in his family has wanted to loosen their rule on North Korea, but we can still hope that Kim Jung Un will try to better his country.
