The Taliban

I believe that the killing of Osama Bin Laden was probably the most significant event that happened in 2011 because it gave people the most false hope we could ask for, nearly assuring us that we wouldn't be blown up by some terrorist plot. But what people still don't understand is that the Taliban are still out there, plotting and recovering.

i agree that it gave false hope, but i think oither events overshadowed it in the long run.

I definitely see where you're coming from with killing Osama being false hope. I also had a hard time comprehending the fact that we just killed the Al-Qaeda founder without any excrescences. So I can easily see where you would be coming from that it was false hope.
