I think one of the most significant events of 2011 was the death of Osama Bin Laden. His death has helped restore pride and has made the public feel safer against terrorist groups. Most importantly it has made drastic changes in the war. After his death many troops were sent home, and now we have declared the end of the Iraq war. Economically it has helped because now our nation can focus on issues within our country, rather then those outside of it.
