2011

I think the most significant event of 2011 was the slaying of Osama bin Laden. We had finally ended the life of a man who many claimed to be truly evil. Because of this act, we finally got to pull our troops out of the Middle East. Something like Occupy Wall Street was important but it didn't necessarily perpend the entirety of America. The death of Kim Jong-Il, although being huge news, truly wasn't relative to the United States. The quietus of the leader of Al-Qaeda meant a greater chance of safety for all of America and the troops that protect it.
