Poverty
I think Alan and Andono are trying to make the best of their circumstances. I think the fact that they haven't given up hope has helped them to keep trying to improve their lives. I think the best thing for them to do now would be to save up any extra money even if its only a small amount. Because the unemployment rate is so high it's hard for anyone to find a job these days, so finding a higher paying job might be difficult for Alan and Andono. The economy is not good for a lot of people so hopefully it will get better and help them and others get back on their feet.

I agree that Alan and Andono are doing the best they can. The most important thing is that they are making the best of their circumstances. Not giving up hope has helped them alot. But knowing many more people are in the same situation means they are not alone.
