Reflecting on 2011

I think the United State's declaring the end of the Iraq war was a pretty significant event of 2011. It started from 2003 and finished on December 2011. During the 8 long years of kind of pointless war, some people in the US seemed to have forgotten that we were even at war. But for families who had loved ones fighting in Iraq, hoped for it to just end. It effected us economically because during the 8 years, a lot of money were being spent on weapons and soldiers who were in Iraq or training to go to Iraq. It also took many lives of our soldiers and innocent people in Iraq. But since their return it would be hard for the veterans to find jobs in the midst of this economic crisis...

i dont think it was, because a majority of the issues caused by the war were spread over the 8 years, so it wasnt as big of a part of 2011.
