2011: a Year to Remember

By far the most significant event of 2011 was the end of the Iraq war simply because it didn't just define a year, but a whole decade. When history books are written, this year is going to be prevalent throughout because of this. 2001-2011 will be a time frame that our children will have to study and memorize dates about because above all else, the war loomed over everything and defined us all.

I completely agree with you. We have studied past wars and our kids will have to now learn all about this war that we lived through for 10 years.
