2011

To be honest i think the only two things that hold significance are the deaths of Bin Laden and Kim Jong il. I thin Bin laden was because of all the lives he took and the threat he held that he could always organize another attack like 9/11 and kim jong il because who know maybe he was planning on bombing us. But in my opinion Bin Ladens death holds more significance because it affects us Americas more-so.

I agree, the death and killing of Kim Jong Il and Osama Bin Laden were two of the most significant events to happen in 2011.

I completely agree with you. With these two important figures in the world gone who knows what will happen. We will just have to wait and see.

i find it somewhat sickening that 90% of the posts about the significant events of 2011 are all about the killing of osama bin laden, i am not saying that these are exactly negative things. it is the fact that american consciousness is to focus on brutal pride of killing an enemy and hundreds if not thousands of iraq citizens, so that americans find an equilibrium for 9/11; i don't understand how more death solves a problem.
