2011
I believe the most significant event of 2011 was when the US killed Osama. This was a big event because the people who's families died in 9/11 finally got justice. Also this was a turning point in the war in iraq and Afghanistan. Also it finally marked the end of the 10 year search for him. I think this day will go down in history because it was a great step forward in the war on terror. But i don't think the war on terror will ever end.

I agree this was a really significant event because it gave a lot of families justice. It was really good to know a lot of families finally got their piece of mind.
