Poverty
I think Andono and Alan have a rough life, but there are things they can do to fix everything. First of all, work towards a better salary. If they talk to their bosses and maybe try to work out extra work or try to get promotions maybe that can get better pay and somethings might change. They can also try to do other jobs in their spare time for random spouts of money. Any more income they can achieve is good, at this point.

I agree with this post. People do have sympathy for others. It's human nature to want to reach out and help. If their bosses are willing to give them overtime or even a slight pay increase, it could be very beneficial. By earning money and saving whatever they have left over, no matter how small, Adono and Alan have a chance for a better life. They just need to remember that they need to fight for a better life because it will not be handed to them on a silver platter.
