#SOTU

I enjoyed the speech, which is quite rare for me. First off, the one thing I hate about these speeches is all the clapping. Even my dad downstairs was clapping...very interesting. Anyways, I loved when Obama talked about teachers. This, personally, had the largest effect on me as a student in high school with college in my near future. Also, I loved when he said a four year college or university is not a luxury; every family in america should be able to afford it. Education was obviously a large part.

I agree with Jack. College is way too expensive for our nation. Even if you look at a bordering country like Canada, having a college degree comes at a much cheaper price. When I was talking to some friends from Canada they mentioned how paying for college, while still a large amount, was never so much that they thought they couldn't afford it (yes, they were kind of rich, but still). I couldn't imagine not worrying about the financial burdens of higher education, sounds nice. Now the US just needs to follow through with a plan to lower the costs.

I agree with you. Obama said some good stuff about school. As a student school is important. I liked what he said about everyone should be able to afford college. Im going to college so that was interesting to me.
