State of the union

Obama is a great speaker and I think his state of the union speech was very good. His speech focused a lot on education which was interesting because it was something I could relate to. One point that really stuck out to me was when he said he wants to make kids stay in school until they graduate or turn 18. Students will do better if they aren't allowed to drop out. This also allows students to have better opportunities when they are older if they have a good educational background. Another point that really stuck out to me was Obama's proposal to make college less expensive for students. This would benefit all of us who are planning on going to college next year. It's ridiculous how expensive college is now and I think it's unfortunate that some families can't even afford for their kids to go to college. If the expenses of college went down a lot more students would have better opportunities to fulfill their dreams and go to college. It would also help lower the amount of student loans that most college grads spend years trying to pay back.

I totally agree I don't think that we should able to drop out so soon 18 is the right age to make that big of a decision.
